MKTY Road Speed Limiter Technology event makes headlines
MKTY organised half day Forum on Road Speed Limiter at the Hilton Addis Ababa on October 18, 2005. The event was a major success making news headlines on the nation’s TV news channel & radio for three consecutive days. The event was attended by over 200 participants from transporters, insurance companies, oil companies and officials from the government. Mr. Nahusenay Araya, CEO of Nyala Insurance Co, gave keynote address. MKTY has stressed on the benefits of limiting speed to fleet owners and how road speed limiter products promote road safety and fleet profitability.

MKTY Urges fleet owners and government to consider Road Speed Limiters to reduce road accidents.
During the Road Speed Limiter event MKTY has presented to fleet owners, government officials and insurers to consider road speed limiter technology as a means to reduce the horrific road accidents in Ethiopia. Ethiopia currently stands the highest in the world in road fatality case with  respect to the vehicle and pedestrian ratio.  MKTY as a local company is contributing to change this scenario. The alliances that it is currently forming with concerned government bodies and the growing number of insurers is a positive sign said Mr. Telahun Deda, General Manager of MKTY during his opening speech. MKTY is already partnering with major insurers and bundling Road speed limiters to enable insurers provide premium discounts to their customers. Mr. Telahun has also mentioned that MKTY is investing in promoting road speed limiter product by aggressively doing TV and Radio commercials and documentary programs  to create awareness and enhance road safety and fleet profitability. This has started creating a lot of awareness among fleet owners quoted Mr. Telahun.
