MKTY Road Speed Limiter Technology event makes headlines
MKTY organised half day Forum on Road Speed Limiter at the Hilton Addis Ababa on October 18, 2005. The event was a major success making news headlines on the nation’s TV news channel & radio for three consecutive days. The event was attended by over 200 participants from transporters, insurance companies, oil companies and officials from the government. Mr. Nahusenay Araya, CEO of Nyala Insurance Co, gave keynote address. MKTY has stressed on the benefits of limiting speed to fleet owners and how road speed limiter products promote road safety and fleet profitability.

MKTY IT Services, a leading Ethiopian IT Solution provider company in collaboration with it’s partner Agile Core Insurance Application (Agile FT), a leading technology partner to dominant players in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance) sector, conducted a conference on the 21st of January, 2010 at the Hilton Addis, aimed at showcasing technology initiatives to the MicroFinance Sector. The event was supported by the Association of Ethiopian Microfinance Institutions and was well attended, with over 20 MFIs participating in the same.

MKTY Sponsors Ethiopian Library & Information Association Annual meeting at the Sheraton Addis.
The Ethiopian Library & Information Association was successfully held last month (August 31st 2006) at the Sheraton Addis.
Most of ELIA’s members close to four hundred people from all over Ethiopia participated on the meeting.Present at the event was Minister of culture and Tourism, the directors of National Archives and British Council in Ethiopia. MKTY is one of the three sponsors of the full day event along with British Council and National Archives. The event was covered on the national TV channel and on several local news papers.

The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation (EEPCo) procured a X3950 server with 32 Gigabytes of RAM memory at a cost of 3.1 million Br. The server will be the largest in Ethiopia.
The corporation bought the server from MTKY Information Technology Service.
According to Seyoum Abera, director of EEPCo’s Information Computer Technology (ICT) Department, the server is needed to accommodate an increase in the number of customers that EEPCo serves.
